Umsetzung von Kundenwünschen +++ Dorr Modellbau in der MIBA +++ Gründer-Wüste Deutschland

Implementation of customer requests +++ Dorr Modellbau in MIBA +++ Germany's founder desert

Some time has passed since our last blog post. But that's not because there's nothing new to report – quite the opposite. We are very proud that in the first few months of 2026, we have already fulfilled many more orders than in the entire previous year.

New products for 2026 are proving very popular.

Numerous new products that we have been able to complete and add to the shop since winter 2025/2026 have contributed significantly to this success.

Positive comments from the trade press.

We are particularly pleased about the positive feedback from the trade press. Our new products have already been reviewed and presented four times in the "Freshly Unpacked" category of the model railway magazine MIBA. The numerous details are extremely well received.

Dorr Modellbau products are regularly featured in MIBA magazine.

Close exchange with our customers.

We are always particularly happy about customer feedback. We receive enthusiastic letters and even photos from customers who have incorporated our models. We have also received numerous suggestions, which we review and, where possible, include in our product range. We are also happy to individually consider requests for our models in other scales (other than H0 / 1:87) and have already made customers happy with this.

Mr. W. has excellently painted our tool set and workbench and placed them in his H0 workshop.

Bureaucracy costs founders a lot of time and nerves.

Unfortunately, we also have to spend a lot of time on bureaucracy, which we would rather have spent designing new models or at the crafting table. For example, we were made aware via the network of small model railway accessory manufacturers that even a small-series manufacturer must be registered with the "Central Agency for Packaging Register" and has to pay hefty fees for the few hundred grams of paper, cardboard, and bubble wrap that we use as packaging material per year. And there are also numerous bureaucratic subtleties to consider when selling in our own online shop, so from June 2026, we will have to make it even easier to cancel orders...
