About Us

At Dorr Modellbau, we look back on more than 30 years of model building enthusiasm in the 1:87 / H0 scale. We've reached the point where a true-to-life representation of reality with the "off-the-shelf" products of known mass-produced manufacturers can no longer meet our own high standards. During the pandemic, the idea matured, based on the motto of a famous engineer:

"At first, I looked around, but couldn't find the car I dreamed of. So I decided to build it myself." (Ferry Porsche)
At the same time, new manufacturing processes such as plastic 3D printing and laser cutting allow the production of models of the highest quality in small batches. After thorough familiarization with the manufacturing processes and the necessary computer-based applications, time finally came in 2024, and the first product saw daylight for the first time (more precisely, the UV light of a high-resolution 3D SLA printer).

We hope you enjoy building and viewing our detailed and exclusive models as much as we do. We target discerning model builders and architectural firms with a passion for detail. Since we run our business as a side business and due to the high level of effort involved, not all models are available at all times. We apologize for this inconvenience.
